thank you very much for commitment and for your fast reply!

...i know its not the dev-list, but do you know another way to extend 
this function 'getIcon' in class.t3lib_iconworks.php'?
i dont know if you had time to cast an eye on the extension 't3xskin', 
but i am still searching for a better way to get the icon state 'Hide in 
Menu' into those little images, and i could not found another solution 
than providing a patch for this file.
