all true, but how does this help us with our current problem? we are 
about to ship TYPO3 4.3 with a openID extension which is broken under 
PHP 5.3. This PHP version is labled as "stable" and it is used in the 
world out there.

either we write to the docs that openID is broken under 5.3 or we fix 
it. I'm for the latter.
