Well, I guess that was the unspoken question in my patch ;-) TSref says 
it is deprecated. But I don't know where that came from... Actually it 
may come from earlier than 4.2. I know where I have an old copy of 4.1 
TSref, but I won't be able to check it before next Tuesday.
