1365ms for a cached page?! 
doesn't look very cached to me if compared to uncached ;-)

In general this patch saves only milliseconds and this counts of course the
most when the whole page delivery takes only a few miiliseconds.
I get ~13ms when I hit reload in the admin panel and with the patch
something about 11ms.
