Hey Marcus,

yes, please rename the "eID" part to either "ajaxID" or something 
similar, otherwise it will be quite confusing, for the class, use
"class.tx_install_ajax", to make it a) easier understand for 
non-typo3-freaks what's going on and b) as everybody else stated, eID is 
FE-only.

I'll have a closer look at the patch after these changes, is that ok? 
(well, you already got olly's +1 :)).
