i also asked me several times why it's in ctrl for all fields instead in 
config of single fields.

Now it's too late because it's in for long time, but having it in config 
would help a lot.

It would be possible to use
<requestUpdate>1</requestUpdate>
and it could be merged with the ctrl-field.

(just loud thinking about)
