Not necessarily. If you are in Info/modify, it is logical that you come back to the same view but with new record. The only thing that I miss is specifying name for the new template. If we could have a prompt for name when new button is pressed, it woulod be perfect.

"Show" is not bad when editing. Allows you to preview changes immediately. I'd say it is useful.

To me patch looks ok.
