Just kidding. The extra flags for default language are a config option:
mod.SHARED {
     defaultLanguageFlag = de.gif
     defaultLanguageLabel = German
}

Jeah, right. As Masi already pointed out, this fix is all about _removing_ 
unnecessary stuff ;)
