Seems, like this patch (bug_6601-2.diff) has never been committed. (see 
for example http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=8194)

Additionally the mount page itself disappears from the menu, when mount 
point substituition isn't set (even after applying the patch)

If you find some time, can you please have a look at it? Thanx.
