Version ext should be reworked as it has duplicate code, the same as in mod/ws. Now there is a ws_guilib.php in mod/ws and code can be reused instead of duplicating it.

Another thing with exts is that they have to be loaded all the time (= take memory). But there is no point to have ws, version or Em loaded while in FE. If we can extend extension arhitecture to have BE-only extensions, it can solve the problem...
