Yes. The problem for windows user for now is, that most files in the SVN
repository have the eol-style:native property set, some has no property
set. This results in some files having DOS (those with the property set)
and some having UNIX fileendings after checkout on windows systems.

I would propose to set eol-style of _all_ files to LF, since this is
what ist asked for in the coding guidelines.

To get rid of those "No newline at end of file" warnings, all files
should also contain a LF at the end of the file.

I'm using Notepad++ as a replacement of the standard windows Notepad
quite a while and I'm very happy with it. See:

With this editor (and for sure with many more) you can easily display
line endings or whitespaces by simply toggling a toolbar button.
