I do like the idea, but I don't like adding another duplicate lines of 
code. I know, I know the Versioning-Module and the Workspace-Manager 
have a bunch of lines and even methods in common, but if we do a patch 
we should avoid code duplication wherever possible. Just my 2 cents.
