I've asked Kasper to have a look into it as he probably knows best about
the label cache things etc, but he said he considers it to be of very
low importance for him and thus didn't spend time on it.

Unfortunately I don't have time to review your patch myself, because I'm
facing 5 Uni exams in February and need to prepare for them now.

Yep, that's what I think, too. We won't get the AJAX trees in Beta 3 but
it should definitely end up in 4.1 final. Maybe some guys on the
Snowboard tour can get together and review it there. The RC (= feature
freeze) is scheduled directly after the tour, so if people are
interested they can use the opportunity there to get together in person
and review some stuff. I won't be there though (due to the Uni exams).
