I talk in general about whitelists and blacklists. For example, recently 
I had to make access control for templavoila objects. If I do it as 
whitelists, it will immediately hide all ds/to from users upon upgrade 
because whitelists will be empty (= nothing is allowed). But empty 
blacklists allow users to change anything and this is backward compatible.

I looked into this (TCEforms/IRRE) feature very lightly, and I was under 
impression that blacklists are better here. I can be wrong, I did not 
make full analysis.
