Why do you post this in this context? The ext_emconf.php resp. the 
extensions.xml.gz do not request any specific PHP version for paymentlib, so 
*HOW ON EARTH SHOULD IT KNOW* that it needs PHP5?!?!

Given the fact that neither I nor Rupert could duplicate this, and your recent 
problems with Stucki's CSS patch are as well solely your's, do you think all 
this helps your credibility? Think about it, I mean it.
