There is no more possibility to write FAQ items, but instead there is an
example extTables.php file in the dummy archive of 4.0.

Instead of wasting any time with this, I suggest to make modification of
$TCA a little bit easier:

As I wrote some weeks ago, I'd like to have the possibility in the
Configuration check ("lowlevel" extension) to modify $TCA strings and have
them written to typo3conf/extTables.php (if the file is present).
