Sorry, I only tried this in Firefox. No IE at hand at the moment, but I agree
that this can be changed at a later time still...

This will not work because if now compat_version was set, the default from
config_default.php would be "3.8" as well!
I think the easiest solution is to rephrase the warning like I just suggested.
