Out of pure interest...

Could you describe your patch.

does it...

1. Make one specific workflow recurring in the sence that it repeats itself 
until a given date?

2. Make one specific workflow recurring in the sence that it is repeadable 
with no time limit?

3. Make it possible to possible to attach several identical records to one 
workflow? ( in the sence that "begin task" is available all the time during 
a stage in the workflow, though records are already attached?)
