[TYPO3-mvc] content element extension with content element in it

I have read the $TCA manual from front to back and back again. But I 
can't find an option that makes it possible.

It seems to be to strange that something so common would not be 
possible, that I'm almost sure that I'm missing something.

Anyone any suggestions?
