[TYPO3-mvc] Get translated record fails

It drives me crazy. I've setup a new extension to display a employee. Some of those fields should be translated in englisch. So I setup translation handling.

But now no translation is displayed on the frontend. The debug of the function "doLanguageAndWorkspaceOverlay" shows me the correct data with my translations inside, but fluid always shows the german default language.

What could be wrong here?
