[TYPO3-mvc] Fluid Image Rendering

Hello,

we have got a problem with generating of thumbnails out of pdf files (with Imagemagick 6).

We use the following code, this couses very slow rendering, sometimes "internal server errors" :
<f:image src="pathtopdf/{aInfos.filename}" />

If we add the values for height and with (e.g.: width="300m" height="200m") the rendering is much faster, but the output oft he thumbnails are broken:
Parts or the whole thumbnail are inverted (white => black).

Andy ideas?

We use the extbase 1.3 and Typo3 4.5
