For the record: +1 from my side, too ;)

It's not easy to keep two projects in sync - even with Fluid where we 
have a semi-automatic tool for that. We were often tempted to loosen 
that rule, but I think that it is vital to have synchronization (to some 
extend) now more than ever.

One more note, though, to oppose the impression that a lot has been 
blocked by FLOW3:
If I look at the review queue [1] most (if not all) -1s and -2s are due 
to (mostly minor) things missing or being broken in the patch. The rule 
above won't change that people do need some "fighting spirit" to get 
their patch through.
I don't know how we can deal with that best - hopefully the code sprint 
next week will bring up the speed-up the merge rhythm again ;)
