Hi group,
I´ve had a look a opentrans.org (unfortunally site is in german).
You will find the documentation and the dtd for it in the cvs tree.
What is it?
(from the documentation)
"The openTRANS® format was developed with the aim of providing uniform
electronic documents for business-to-business es-commerce. Based on the
BMEcat® Standard for the electronic
exchange of product data, standardized business documents such as order,
delivery notes, invoices, etc. can be exchanged between the business
partners and electronic marketplaces."
When we start building a new shop extension. (because it`s to difficult
to keep backwards compatibility.) we should think about exchange data
with other systems. So we should include such thinks in the planing.
And if we have an XML interface, it isn`t a big thing to change it for
special systems.
I think we need to import and export the following things in the first step:
productcategories -> import
products -> import
orders -> export
customers -> export
Next step will be
orders -> export/import
order_status -> export/import
customers -> export/import
What do you think and what programms are you using for ERP to build
înterfaces?
Greetings Volker
