[TYPO3-ttnews] Formatting problems with News 2.2.1

Hi there,

Typo3 6.1
News 2.2.1

I'm having a formatting problem with News. Everytime I insert a link
or format in bold, a line break is inserted at the end.

At first I thought it could be the RTE, but no change with another
one.

The news extension is loaded through bootstrap. I've updated the
bootstrap folders with the newer versions from news, but that didn't
help either.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions as I'm stuck.
