[TYPO3-ttnews] News Admin empty after hasty update

I found that this is not the result of a twisted update but that News 
Admin is not able to list any articles with language setting [All]. See 
my recent posting '[TYPO3-ttnews] News Admin not showing articles with 
language setting "All"' for more details.
