[TYPO3-ttnews] tt_news and TV: the general_storage_pid

i had the page where i had to select the categories for its news, but also its TV template.
if i set  general_storage_pid to the sys_folders of the selected categories, i cant anymore select the Template.
(it gives broken selectors)

should i twik with the parent's page "next page template" ?
is it the only (and secure) solution?
