[TYPO3-ttnews] tt_news and dam_ttnews

Hi!

Some people recommend me not to use the dam_ttnews extension.  I ask, why? 

My opinion this is a nice extension. If I not use and I attach some images to a tt_news record, every images is COPYED to the upload/pics folder. With the dam_ttnews extension I can avoid to this image duplicating. Can I achive this without using dam_ttnews?
