First of all, all our brains work the same way. This includes not only human
brains, but also the brains of other mammals.

Filtering and overfiltering in muster detection is a mathematical problem
that is universal and independent from the actual form of filtering.

Thus I do not need to be a neurologist to give you an answer about this.

Besides that, I really interested in neurology and I frequently attend talks
about the latest advances in science at caesar (center of advanced european
studies and research). This includes quite a few talks about how our brain
works (as this is one of their research topics).

p.s.: Please answer me offline as we are off topic now.

Best regards
