[TYPO3-templavoila] unpleasant experiences with templavoila 1.6.1 and TYPO3 4.5.11

after having upgraded to TYPO3 4.5.11 and therefore also to templavoila 
1.6.1 i noticed quite a few unpleasant changes in comparison to the 
former versions, both TYPO3 (4.3.3) and templavoila (1.5.7).

of course i won't go back, the allover gains are too impressive.
and thanks for all the work.

but: working not only as admin but also as editor the changes made are 
very time consuming and not very reliable.

let me explain the task:
a very long page with a lot of CE's and FCE's including CE's has to be 
cut into a smaller (sub-)pages.

and the necessary steps:
1. first the necessary additional FCE's including CE's have to be copied 
from the clipboard

2. then the page has to be cleaned from unnecessary CE's

3. next the page has to be copied into subpages, including all remaining 
and new FCE's and CE's

4. and last the page itself and all the subpages have to be cleaned


and here are the problems:

ad 1.
copying FCE's and CE's which are related to them is not possible. i have 
to copy first the FCE from the clipboard1, then the CE's from the 
clipboard2, which go finally into the FCE (this was before done in one 
step).

all the element which are copied from the clipboard are hidden. i didn't 
find the necessary parameters for the pageTSconfig.
unhiding the elements is best be done in the WEB/LIST module.
sometimes they didn't get copied, but just referenced, which is a 
special mess to control the local copies. sometimes the system just 
makes two copies, one a real copy, the other one just a reference.

but when it comes to the positioning, the copied elements are just on 
top of all other existing CE's, but not anymore in the tab "unused 
elements".

the draganddrop is very unstable and unreliable: to find out where the 
FCE or CE has actually been dropped, i have to reload the page and do 
the necessary corrections, sometimes even twice.

ad 2.
cleaning is fast and reliable. the additional button "delete" is very 
handy and a time saver.

ad 3.
copying a page in subpages is very slow, unreliable and sometimes 
absolutely wrong:
the pagetree doesn't reload, the uid just get's copied. so after having 
copied once, i have to reload the pagetree manually. then i see the new 
uid. sometimes the system has just created two copies (again: one is a 
real copy, the other one is a reference page).
in the old version i was sure that the page to be copied stays in a 
special clipboard. now, as soon as i click in the pagetree on the new 
page (to see if it's a real copy or a reference page) i lose the page in 
the clipboard and have to start another copy process.
it's even worse: i have to control if all the CE's are still in the 
right order - some of them just go into "unused elements".

ad 4.
the cleaning of every page has not changed.
but there is a wish - i didn't find any paramater to change the visual 
effect: the page preview consists of all the CE's with practially the 
whole text in the respective element.
it has been a longlasting wish for former versions of templavoila, but 
it seems that it is not fullfilled in the new version.
the only thing i could change was

mod.web_txtemplavoilaM1.previewDataMaxLen = 50 (default: 2000)
mod.web_txtemplavoilaM1.previewDataMaxWordLen = 30 (default: 75)

but it only has effect for the WEB/LIST.


so the process to conclude this task has almost doubled in time.
before it was in the average about 10 minutes per page, now it's 16 to 
18 minutes, depending on how reliable the copy process works.

BTW. i have a highspeed connection and the server is a business server. 
so it's not a matter of lost connections.
