Usualy I use FCEs to give the editor the flexibility he needs. Mostly there
is one main layout for the site -let's call it framework- which has a
placeholder for the content. For that content I build several Setups that
might be needed: One Column, two columns, two columns with flexible width,
maybe a special setup with a submenu for a level within the pagestructure.
And so on.
Editors where happy with that solution so far. I also found it easier to
declare than the usage of the classic templating.
