Yes, there's a reason for it: It's more complicated enabling that than it
seems. Once I spent about an hour trying it, but the problem is (AFAIR)
that comments are ignore by our parser we use for splitting up the HTML
code so we have to teach him to handle comments like normal HTML tags. But
normal HTML tags are enclosed by < and >, so ...

If you or someoneelse provides a patch for that, we'll gladly integrate it,
but for me it doesn't have a high priority.
