[TYPO3-Solr] Multiple words search

Hi,

In our TYPO3-Solr installation, multiple words search is treated as an 
exact phrase search. Actually we are not the only one with this 
bug/feature: http://forge.typo3.org/issues/10665
Is there a reason for searching like this? How can we change this in 
order to have multiple words search and not exact phrase?
