The untranslated parts are in the default language because we currently
haven't translated those new strings into French yet. If you would like
to help in the French translation, that would be awesome. Please drop me
an e-mail if you would like to help.

Could you please try whether this works?

plugin.tx_seminars._LOCAL_LANG.fr {
  email_hello_formal_0 = Bonjour
  email_salutation_title_0 = mounsieur
  email_eventDate = du %s
}

The e-mail template has changed for 0.9.0. If you are using a customized
e-mail template, could you please try whether using the original
provided template solves the problem for you?
