This is (currently?) no possible with IRRE because, as I mentioned, MM
uses the tripple of {uid_local,uid_foreign,tablenames} to identify a
relation and IRRE is doing this by just using the uid of the relation
record on the intermediate table.

The intermediate tables in IRRE (nearly the same as used for MM) use
correct TCA definitions which also allows some new features.

The selector in IRRE (back to your question) requires a proper and
single uid of the relational record and doesn't work with the tripple of
MM relations to identify a relation between objects.

But you could extend the current MM table to a intermediate table
defined in TCA and thus usable for IRRE.
