Hi,

well one could do it by hand, but ofc it's a huge time-saver easing dev work.
Starting over with 6.0 : I will definetly not suggest 6.0 for production until mid 2013, it isn't that stable and some annoying bugs break
more 4.x extensions than necessary.

But ok, one could still use v2.4 until 6.0 is used for production...

Hi,

Better to just drop the roundtrip for older extensions, if you've come to a point with a 4.x extBase extension where you need to restructure your plugin, do it by hand. Or start over with 6.0.

You should have learned enough by now to be able to do that.

Legacy support,  while prefered in some scenarios, isn't really useful in this scenario and would only lead to other problems we don't want.
