Hi Brian,

Thanks for your intricate enumeration of possible criteria.
I think this is way past us at this point in time.

Well, I was suggesting some criteria. I am not planning to impose something
against widespread reluctance to accept it. As for the clique, or the reason
for my power to select people for typo3.com's consultancy list:
I have offered to make this website and finally did it with much help from a
number of people. I am taking responsibility for it and I have a vision what
it should be. So the job is not vacant right now.
However there are many parts that I would rather delegate and put on many
shoulders instead only mine. That is what is happening right now.

Back to your mail:
Now we get the problem of having many applicants for consultancies, but many
of these might not be fit to serve their customers well.
Up to now, I have decided on the number, technical complexity, brands and
design quality of the references to include consultancies in the selection
on .com.

That, in Germanies Case will no longer suffice as a filter, because we get
more and more applicants but less contribution from them.

Hence my suggestion.

As for the certification issues you have raised: they are going in another
direction, aren't they?
All of the questions are relevant for the certification issue, but that is
very far beyond the scope of the organisation (read: manpower) we have
_today_. That might change eventually, but I would not expect that to happen
sooner than the end of this year.

So my suggestion might seem simple minded, but also feasible at this point
in time.

Yes I have it, but it is very long and I need time to come up with some
fitting answer.

Cheers,

Daniel
