By this definition all individuals that are working as a on-man-show (like
me) will be excluded. There are many specialists outside that never worked
in a company but have big experience in many fields. These people might need
a co-operative much more than any company with big companies in their track
record, because big companies don't like one-man-shows. This is just a
vicious circle: You don't get jobs from big companies as long as you can't
prove that you already did jobs for big companies. In my case I have been
pitching for a 40.000 Euro project, where anything went fine. The marketing
people where swept off their feet after viewing my presentation. They never
saw anything better they said. But a few days later the business manager
just asked about the number of employees in my "company" and after he was
told that I am a one-man-show he decided to give the project to an agency of
five people where he had to pay more money for less quality. Sad but true.

Of course it's not a community activity and like this marketing-list is
separated from the "ordinary" newsgroups it should be spearated from this
list too, since there might be important things that have to be regarded as
"internal informations". But again: I don't think we need strong companies
but strong people with high capabilities in many business fields so that we
will be able to compile a catalogue that will cover any requirements a
potential customer might have. Running the gamut from planning over
programming and design up to coaching and technical support. The only
important thing is that we must know about the capabilities of these people
(individuals and companies) to decide who will be the best choice for a
certain project. If there will be more than one volunteering member for a
project we could do something like an "internal pitching" regarding the time
needed to finish the job, costs etc.
So you can always say to a customer: "You name it - we have it!" - Or like
in a famous german TV-Spot: "Geht nicht gibt's nicht" ...
