[TYPO3-linux] Cannot login to BE when source outside document root

Dimitri,
Thanks for this, I'll take a closer look. I did alter php.ini to turn
on display of php errors and I did get some when the sessions weren't
being written properly (small permissions glitch), but it certainly
could be that Plesk is interfering.
I casually assumed CentOS had Debian origins because of the similar use
of the /var folder for non-volatile files (like vhosts etc)
