[TYPO3-linux] Cannot login to BE when source outside document root

Paul,

2 points:

- CentOS is not Debian, it's a clone of RedHat EnterPrise Linux 4

- Most likely your problems are in the Plesk settings around PHP. If my memory serves me right, Plesk is not very verbose about PHP errors - you might want to start with looking at your phpinfo() and the way PHP errors are handled. In some installations that I had seen they are just silently ignored and that's it.
