[TYPO3-linux] Imagemagick 4.2.9 tar.gz install vs. up2date on RHEL

Hey folks,

I'm wondering about how I should install IM... manually w/ 4.2.9 tarball or 
using the up2date package manager in RHEL (WS4)?

Any downside to going the route of up2date? And if so, why is the older 
4.2.9 tarball better? Also, is there anything special I need to do after 
installing IM as far as permissions or ownership are concerned?
