[TYPO3-linux] Blank Page On Page 1 of 123 Install

This is a new dedicated server install of Typo4.  RedHat 8 with Apache 2 
and PHP 4.3.2.

When I attempt to pull up the install tool I get an error message

In the source distribution of TYPO3, the install script is disabled by a 
die() function call.
Fix: Open the file typo3/install/index.php and remove/out-comment the 
line that outputs this message!

I comment out the message and refresh and come up with a blank page.

Per the 3/9/06 post on a similiar issue I have modified the PHP.INI file 
to increase memory to 128M.  Restarted Apache.

Pretty white page remains.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
