Hi,
i'm developing my first typo3 site on a Virtuozzo VPS with 256Mb
granteed ram and 1Gb bursted RAM. OS: Fedora core 2.
On the same VPS i have another website, running, very low traffic and
very low stress on VPS.
I see that it takes about 2-3 seconds to render a non cached page...and
i'm speaking of a non complete page because i'm still working on this site.
But the clue of slowness is reached when typo3/GM has to process image
/( http://www.netwargamingitalia.net/cms/index.php?id=75 )
The topmegaclue is reached when the site has to show a thumbanail set
of a gallery extension (
http://www.netwargamingitalia.net/cms/index.php?id=76 )
I made the install tool test for image manipulation, here's result:
Reading and converting images: 1183 ms ( test about read PDF and AI
failed because i did not set up those feature because i don't need it )
Writing GIF and PNG: 310MS
Scaling images: 290 ms
Combining: 790 ms
GD Lib Function: 9476 ms and this message at the end of GD test:
Your GDLib appears to have RLE compression
This assessment is based on the filesize from 'Create image from file'
test, which were 17002 bytes
If the image was LZW compressed you would expect to have a size of less
than 9000 bytes. If you open the image with Photoshop and saves it from
Photoshop, you'll a filesize like that.
The good news is (hopefully) that your [GFX][im_path_lzw] path is
correctly set so the gif_compress() function will take care of the
compression for you!
Here's CURRENT CONFIG:
Current configuration
ImageMagick enabled: 1
ImageMagick path: /usr/local/graphicsmagick-1.1.6/bin/ ()
ImageMagick path/LZW: ()
Version 5 flag: gm
GDLib enabled: 1
GDLib using PNG: 0
GDLib 2 enabled: 0
IM5 effects enabled: -1 (Blurring/Sharpening with IM 5+)
Freetype DPI: 96 (Should be 96 for Freetype 2)
Mask invert: 1 (Should be set for some IM versions approx. 5.4+)
File Formats: gif,jpg,jpeg,tif,bmp,pcx,tga,png,pdf,ai
Warning: Mismatch between the version of ImageMagick () and the
configuration of [GFX][im_version_5] (gm)
Are those times in the average or are they too high ?
Regards,
Francesco
