[Typo3-linux] What's the right value for php max_memory in Typo3 ?

My last, still not resolved by me, issue about a "fake" no memory limit
recognized by Typo3 bring to me to think about what could be the right
value of php max_memory for a typo3 installation.
I read in the typo3 book that for high load is suggested a 512MB server.
I suppose that this memory is not only for the php execution but mainly
for the mysql caching.

So, in a 256MB VPS with cpanel ( in witch i suppose about 100MB are
taken from cpanel+sistem ) what could be the right max_memory value ? If
i set, for example, 128MB maybe i leave to less memory for the mysql ?
Are, for example, 32MB or 64MB more than enough for the php max_memory
parameter ?

Regards,

Francesco
