[Typo3-linux] Owner/Group settings in typo3_src and dummy packages

Hi

Normally I don't have problems with installing, but now I need to have a
local install to work with. I never have had a local install before.

I've installed the Typo3 LAMP package successfully, but without the testsite
though.
Now I want to place the typo3_src folder outside webspace and point to this
folder from the dummysite (later a bunch of real sites of course).
But when I untar these packages the owner and group is set to 1000 ?
The apache user is nobody.

Is the apache user equal to the chowned settings of the apache bin files
(they are also nobody)? Or how is it with this?

And is it bad that the apache user is nobody?

What is the normal thing to do?

It's not working. I don't even see the dummy folder in webspace. I'm aware
that I need to change the symlinks in order to make it work.

Could anyone guide me in a right direction here? :O)
