[Typo3-linux] T3: "Requested page does not exist"

Hello,
I yesterday installed T3 3.5.0 on Mac OS X 10.2.6, where the "Complete
MySQL" ver. 4.0.12 is installed. After correcting some filenames
according to the error messages showing up, e.g. when trying to call
"Functions" (probably mutilated during unpacking, I just had to rename
the files to the names mentioned in the error messages), even the
"Functions" and other menus react as desired.
I then tried setting up a start page under "Quickstart". In the "pages"
table in my "typotest" db (as shown in CocoaMySQL, which is a Mac mySQL
admin tool similar to phpmyadmin) this and three other pages I made do
show up. However, when I want to see it in preview ("Anzeigen"), there
only shows up a message saying "Error! The requested page does not
exist!", without any hint to what may be the reason. MySQL privileges?
File system permissions? Somebody has an idea? I'd be grateful to find
out what's wrong.
Regards,
Axel.
