I got the exact same problem after trying to create my first plugin following this tutorial : docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/ExtbaseFluidBook/4-FirstExtension/Index.html
(Error : PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function createQueryForType() on a non-object in [root...]/typo3/sysext/extbase/Classes/Persistence/Repository.php on line 251) With typo3 6.2.6.

The tutorial might be a bit old, refering to some deprecated methods.

Is there any newer good tutorial in english to help newcomers creating extensions and plugins? (The Extension Builder really is too hard to begin with, even with the help of the [too short] doc...).
