Did not test postgreSQL for a while, should still be OK however. If you
have problems, you should please report them in the bug tracker.

Extbase does not come with any other DBMS Backend than MySQL. A try is
made to parse and convert queries to be compatible with another DBMS but
the best is to write another DBMS Backend specifically for the
underlying DBMS. I know some agencies did that (for MSSQL IIRC) but I
never found it was suggested for inclusion into Core again...
