[TYPO3-english] PostgreSQL experience

Hi!
I'm looking for somebody that has experience with postgresql and recent 
TYPO3 versions. Any successful or unsuccessful stories are welcome.

The fact is that I've tried with both the 4.5 and 4.6 versions but with 
too much errors in the error log to be optimistic for later. For 
example, I've had problems with the extension manager when updating the 
list of extensions from the TER. Lots of errors regarding the size of 
the fields and that they should not be null etc.
The DBAL documentation says that all major features of TYPO3 should 
work. Although that documentations is from 2009 I'm still hoping for the 
best.

I was testing both 4.5 and 4.6 versions on Postgresql 8 and 9. Lots of 
errors :( Even tried with a newest adodb library. No luck.

Clean dummy TYPO3 installation (although I will later have to migrate 
from a existing, quite large database = I'm scared already! ).
Does anyone have any experience with this? Maybe I'm doing something 
wrong and it should work out of the box ...

And another thing. PostgreSQL and Extbase ... do they get along? I know 
that I read something about some issues, somewhere ... but just can't 
find that article again. Any tips on that also greatly appreciated.
