Well, you still didn't answer Stefano's question :)
TYPO3 flexibility allows using of different solutions. F.e., if it is some 
copyright string at the footer, I don't think, that it will ever be 
changed - so storing it in TS is the best solution.
If it is some text, that may change quite often and may be even different on 
different pages, you may use any of 'page' fields for this purpose and allow 
inheritance of that field (I use 'subtitle' or some custom created field). 
If it is some text, that may contain links and formatting, you may insert it 
via RECORDS or CONTENT cObj.
Quite cool, huh? TYPO3 isn't just a logo on a frontpage.
