According to [1] there is a kerning bug in 5.3.2 (kerning is the
adjustment of spacing between characters depending on specific character
combinations). It seems to be fixed in 5.3.3 (only RC available).
Alternative option:
- use webfonts [1] to let the browser render text (Font Squirrel has a
nice generator for your own fonts and browser support is impressive)
